The LetterZine
Just a zine about letters
The LetterZine started as a passion project after I completed a second go at a 365 days of lettering challenge. I was craving more connection, more creativity, more exploration. So I reached out to a few friends, and some lettering artists I admired on instagram, to see if they’d want to collaborate on a silly little zine.
From then on, each month I would send out a prompt and a color palette to a group of lettering artists, completely up to them to interpret and create whatever they wanted. I’d compile the artwork and produce a digital zine. Over the course of 4 years, 25+ collaborators contributed to 37 issues, and won 3 awards.
We did a lot of things I’m proud of. From a music inspired issue complete with a spotify playlist, to compiling free color pages during the height of the pandemic, to raising money for The Brain & Behavior Research Foundation + the Treatment Advocacy Center with our Mental Health issue.
You can check out every single issue in it’s entirety on Issuu.
